The first cyclocross race to take place in Ontario since October 2019 happened this past Sunday. The race in question was the We Need More Cowbell CX, the first race in the Ontario Cup series. The race had a new venue this year at Big Valley Campground in St. Catharines, incorporating lots of mud, wet grass, slippery climbs, run-ups, off camber corners and more mud. In fact the smoothest part of the course was the sand pit! There was a large contingent of orange, green and black-clad riders out on behalf of LDCC who made their presence known in all categories.

  • Christos Adamidis : 13th M3 men (in his first CX race ever!!!)

  • Tim Griffin : 14th M3 men

  • Rob MacEwen : 24th M3 men

  • Barry Cox : 26th M3 men

  • Markus Schroeter : 9th M2 men

  • Ognjen Sokolovic : 12th M2 men

  • Kathleen MacEwen : 5th Master B Women

  • Mark Brusso : 3rd Master 1 men

  • Alex Sanchez : 14th Master 1 men
