Eager Beaver 100, Gravel Race

Racing is Back…!

It has been a long time coming, but worth the wait....GRAVEL RACING IS BACK IN ONTARIO, and the LapDogs Cycling Club and Race Team were there in force for its return.

The race in question was Substance Projects' Eager Beaver 100, which was run out of Mansfield Ski Club on Saturday, August 7, and which led participants on a merry chase up and down the hills, gravel roads, ATV trails and in one case mud bogs of Mulmur and Collingwood. The course can best be described as "murderously hard". Our good friends at Substance Projects pulled off a logistical feat by running this race as a time trial (to allow social distancing) for 300 participants, and pulling it off without a hitch.

The Pack has apparently all been secretly training and was there in force to put the hurt on the competition, and to enjoy the scenery.
