Nearly 400 riders turned out for the Vermont Overland Adventure Ride on Sunday 23 August 2015 and we were very pleased to have the Duke's Cycle Cannondale LapDogs colours flying at this event. In its second year, the race features some of the most challenging gravel roads in the region, as well as six sections of 4x4 dirt tracks through the forest, otherwise known as "Vermont pave".

Hardly any of the 85 km of the race was flat. Just one kilometre after the start, riders turned onto a gravel road that went straight up. After that, the terrain was almost always steep - either up or down. The finale had the riders heading down a ski run to the finish line at the Suicide Six ski resort, just outside the town of Woodstock.

LapDogs race team member David Michael Lamb finished about halfway through the field, 157th out of 339 men who started.
