What's in the bag?

I was riding my skinny-tire bike the other day, yes I do own one and it has drop bars, and I noticed a fellow cyclist going in the same direction and thought "what the heck is on the back of their saddle?".  As I approached the rider they had what resembled a hockey-bag strapped to the rails of their saddle (Now I have to preface the story that this was not a commuter).  So I asked, "What do you have in the bag?".

As cool as Lemmy's "bars" are, today's entry is about that pipe on your bike that you put your mitts on. One of the most important choices you will make in regards to a mountain bike is choosing the handlebars.
